WHY I'M RUNNING
For City Council
I'm a 5th-generation Mount Vernon resident with two decades of proven success in the private sector, and I'm running to help create a more resilient and prosperous future for our city and residents. We have a strong foundation, but a long way to reach our potential.
In an age of political division, the role of City Council remains non-partisan, focused on building consensus to solve problems. I believe empathy, teamwork, and shared purpose should guide our local government, and I’d be honored to serve.
Key Issues
1
Housing Solutions
Housing affordability is at an all-time low. As a housing provider and small scale developer, I see rising costs and restrictive rules from every side. As an advisor for our Comprehensive Plan update, I represent our community working to ensure thoughtful growth, zoning reform, streamlined processes, and more housing options for working families, seniors, renters, and first‑time homebuyers alike.
2
Public Safety
Public safety is a concern our City is actively addressing, and our fire and police departments do a remarkable job with limited resources. A graduate of the Mount Vernon Citizens Police Academy, I strongly support our public safety professionals and will advocate for adequate resourcing levels to make their jobs easier while ensuring a safer community for our residents.
3
Financial Resilience
As temporary economic relief fades and costs rise, we face a $6M budget gap and mounting obligations. We have tough decisions to make, and l'lI bring 20 years of business and board leadership experience to help us become more resilient by prioritizing safety and essential services, diversifying revenue sources, and ensuring that taxpayer dollars are invested as efficiently as possible.
